What is Transvaginal Mesh?
Transvaginal Mesh is polypropylene device which is used to repair pelvic organ prolapsed (POP) or stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Doctors surgically implanted this synthetic device through the vagina to hold up the organs that had fallen out of place or to help women who were having urinary leakage.
What are the side effects of Transvaginal mesh?
The mesh disintegrates causing many issues in the body.
Some of the side effects include internal bleeding, infections, erosion, organ perforation, severe pain, pain during intercourse, vaginal scarring, vaginal shrinking, and recurrence of the prolapse or incontinence.
As a result of the complications, many individuals have also had to have surgery to remove a portion of the mesh removed or the whole mesh removed.
What are your legal rights?
Because the national mesh litigation has ended, there is no longer a group settlement to join. If you or a loved one has had a synthetic transvaginal mesh implanted and suffered pain, infections, or other injury and you have questions about your situation, you are welcome to call (601) 355-9600 to schedule a consultation. Whether any claim is still possible depends on the facts, including the time limits that apply.
